It’s almost time again for the annual Oxygen Forensics International User Summit, and this year, we are proud to announce that Cyber Forensics’ very own K. Gus Dimitrelos will have the honor of speaking at the upcoming event to share our company’s knowledge and mastery in the field.

What Is the Oxygen Forensics International User Summit?
The Oxygen Forensics 2024 International User Summit is an event dedicated to professionals (and aspiring professionals) in the field of digital forensics. The event will be hosted over four days, from October 15 to 18, 2024, at Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria, VA.
The summit is comprised of more than a dozen sessions with ample time for networking with fellow attendees and expert presenters. There will be no cost to join the first two days of the event, which will feature keynote speakers and presenters, including Gus himself.
The last two days will feature two tracks of post-conference training: criminal investigations and enterprise investigations. Of course, Gus will be partaking in these events as well.
This annual meeting of minds showcases the value of digital forensics, from cellular data reconstruction to decryption and more. For long-time practitioners and newbies alike, it’s a space and time to hone old skills and learn new ones.
Who Is Gus Dimitrelos?
If you’ve been following Cyber Forensics to this point, you should be familiar with Gus Dimitrelos and his experience in the field. For those who aren’t, here’s a quick rundown of his qualifications as a speaker.
As well as being the co-founder of Cyber Forensics, Gus is also the former director of digital evidence of the state of Alabama. He has also worked with federal-level institutions, including the FBI, ATF, DEA, ICE, and the US Secret Service, in high-profile digital investigations.
Speaking of “high profile,” Gus has also performed investigations for artists such as Linkin Park and other major groups in the entertainment industry. Currently, Gus works with the DOJ, the State Department, the Federal Defender’s Office, and state and local law enforcement across the country.
What Will We Talk About?
Without giving too much away, Gus will delve into some of the trends and techniques that we at Cyber Forensics follow and utilize to reach the top of the industry. You’ll get a glimpse into his work dealing with modern cyber threats and how he handles challenging investigations.
